I'm back! It has been quite a while since my last blog post, but I have been working away on my new site which I am so happy to finally launch. As many of my closest friends know, I have a bit of an obsessive personality and when I work on something, I tend to completely immerse myself in it. I don't mean the typical kind of immerse. I mean the kind of immerse where you sit in front of the computer screen for 31 hours over the weekend and forget to eat dinner kind of thing. Worth it? Heck yes. Am I glad it's over? You bet! All I'll say is this: completely customizable websites and perfectionists are a very dangerous combination. "Should the corners of this button be rounded", "Should this font be 12 or 13?", and, "Should I make this line separator 2 millimeters longer?" were just a few of my daily dilemmas.
As much as I will always love my old site, it wasn't all that customizable. I am super excited about this new site as it allows me to let my creativity show through a little more! Of course, it will continue to be a never-ending work in progress, but I hope you like the new home for all my blogs, latest news and results, pictures, and more!
Things have been extremely busy. I always pictured my fifth year of university to be somewhat of a relaxing experience. I'd get those last few credits I need to graduate in elective courses that aren't all that difficult, focus on my training, and basically live the dream. Once again, naivety kicks my butt. Things have been busier than ever, but I couldn't be happier! I recently got back from a very exciting experience meeting the Governor General of Canada at Rideau Hall in Ottawa. For more about this experience, check out my news and results page along with my photos page!
Feel free to let me know what you think about the new site by contacting me via my contact page. If you have suggestions, I'm all ears!
